Nominasi untuk Spirit Awards ke-26 sudah dibacakan kemarin, pengumuman pemenangnya sendiri akan berlangsung pada Sabtu, 26 Februari 2011, sebelum acara Oscar dengan komedian Joel McHale dipercaya membawakan acara tersebut. Setelah memenangkan kategori film terbaik di Gotham Awards, Winter’s Bone kembali memimpin di Spirit Awards dengan 7 nominasi, diantara lain: Best Film, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress dan Best Cinematography.
